Starting March 11th, voting will open for this year’s ACM Entertainer Of The Year category. It seems as if our attempt to get our disdain across has gone unnoticed – as expected.
Regardless of Carrie’s clear snub (check here and here), we, as one of country’s biggest fanbases, need to support one of the nominees and cast our votes in his or her favor. While we all won’t have the same enthusiasm in voting for that nominee as we have for Carrie (new emails, many computers, emailing people who might be interested), we should at least cast one ballot for one of the nominees to get him or her on top and let him win.
Who that nominee should be is Brad Paisley, for a multitude of reasons.
First, Brad is probably Carrie’s closest friend on the nominee list. She was his opening act for one of his tours and he was so impressed by her that he asked her to sing an awesome duet with him: Oh Love. I’m sure as well that Carrie wants Brad to win over the other five nominees, even though she won’t publicly admit it. Just look at how happy she was for him when he won this year’s Entertainer Of The Year at the CMAs, even though she should have been nominated and win.
Second, Brad is country’s leading male vocalist. He has the longest standing number one streak among all country artists and his songs always resonate with the public. Always. His latest single “This Is Country Music” is racing up to the top of the charts in country music.
Third, Brad has confirmed that he has went to the studio with Carrie to record a song that he felt was unfinished prior to her touch. This is how much Brad Paisley thinks of Carrie. Also, this duet might be his next single: check here.
Fourth, while the other nominees are also deserving, none of them has worked as hard as Brad Paisley to get this award. We, Carrie’s fans, have known firsthand how horrible it is when Carrie works really hard for something and gets snubbed. Brad has been shut out from winning the Entertainer Of The Year category too many times. This is his best chance to win. Why not help him out?
Fifth, Brad’s four year old son has a crush on Carrie. Enough said, right?
Also, in case Brad releases the duet as his upcoming single, a win would boost the hype for this single even higher – if that is possible – benefiting both Brad and Carrie for their upcoming albums.
So for all these reasons, we need to cast our votes on March 11th for Brad Paisley, hopefully next year will be Carrie’s year again.

As much as I love Brad, I will not be voting for him this year. By leaving Carrie out, I think her label was pushing a vote for Brad and assumes most of her fans will vote for him. He deserves it no doubt, but purposely leaving someone else out just so someone else has more of a shot…and making me feel like I’m being forced to vote for him…makes me not want to.

As much as I do like Brad, I will be voting for Keith Urban. Carrie also toured with Keith, and it was a great tour! . I’m voting for Keith because, in my opinion, he has the best concerts, releases music that touches me and is so kind and appreciative of his fans. His humanitarianism is beyond reproach, and he has been the first real ambassador of country music throughout the world. As far as reading Carrie’s mind, I don’t think you can. I’m sure she will be equally happy for whomever wins

Well, I think Carrie wants Brad to win. She’s the most friends with him. Both Brad and Keith deserve to win. But I get the feeling that Brad has been very supportive for Carrie in her career so far (so was Keith but Brad has been even more supportive). So let him win this year since he just came off the H2O tour and Keith will win next year after his new album’s tour is done. Carrie will not be nominated again, IMO.

First, i just want to say that i am terribly sorry that Carrie did not get a nomination. She obviously should have, and it’s just one of the many things i will never understand.
I just want to say that i will be voting for Keith Urban for the ACM ETOY. 100%. First and foremost, Keith’s LONG OVERDUE for this award. Over the past 6 years he’s walked away empty handed and he always gives 100% at each and every performance. It’s easy to see how much he loves country music and it’s fans.
Also, Keith and Carrie toured together too, as i’m sure most of you remember. That was one heck of a show, i gotta say. And i agree, I think Carrie would be just as happy if Keith won. Why not give someone else a chance? He REALLY deserves it y’all.

I agree 100%. Brad is a nice guy and friends w/ Carrie, but Keith is the hands down, across the board best male entertainer (emotional vocals, crazy guitar licks, diverse songs that resonate, great look, humble, nice, and an incredibly energetic performer). Other than Carrie, only Keith really does deserve to win, nobody else.. not even Brad Let;s be honest.. Brad is a good entertainer, but he gets by with an extremely average voice, repetitive honky-tonk songs, and his “oh gosh I love country” persona… it works for him… great, but Carrie and Keith are on a whole different level – agree?/

My favorite Keith song is “Til Summer Comes Around” I think that song is beyond brilliant!
But I prefer Brad’s song. It’s a matter of taste. They are both great vocalists.

Keith Urban has not won Entertainer of the Year since 2005 and he is a true entertainer like Carrie. Brad just won CMA ETOY last year. I love Brad too but you guys should be able to imagine (now that Carrie was left out) how Keith fans must feel year after year when Keith gets passed over for something that is long overdue. Can you guys PLEASE give Keith a chance this year. You all know we will have your back if you ever need us.

I have to say I’m kinda biased towards Brad Paisley. But I wouldn’t mind Keith winning as well. They’re my top two choices. But I prefer Brad’s songs, tbh.

Brad has never won the ACM EOTY of the year yet. If it goes like I expect it to, Carrie will most definitely be snubbed next year as well. And with Keith having a big tour coming up for his new album, I’m sure he’ll win it next year – and we’ll support him next year. But lots of Carrie Fans are going to vote for both 🙂

I’m a huge fan of both Keith and Brad and see both of them live several times every year. They are both terrific, but my vote will be going to Keith. I think he is hands-down the best entertainer nominated. His musicianship is incredible, his songs resonate with audiences and his connection with fans is nothing short of dynamic. At every red carpet event, Keith makes a point of meeting his fans and strengthening that connection with them. The past two years he has organized the We’re All for the Hall concerts to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame in addition to lending his support to many other charitable causes. He is truly an ambassador for this music and community he loves so much.

Well I will be voting for Keith Urban as Entertainer of the Year. I believe he deserves it more than ever. He had a great tour last year. He played to the smaller crowds to get up close and personal with his fans. He not only organized All for the Hall, but helped with the Nashville Flood telethons as well. Keith has not won ACM Entertainer of the Year and Brad just won the CMA Award. Let’s give this one to Keith. I’ve seen both in concert, and there is no one who compares to Keith in a live show.
