The Ward el Khal “Scandal” is an LBC Prank

Remember the video that surfaced online a few days ago and featured Lebanese actress Ward el Khal going into a cat fight with a woman who accused her of sleeping with her husband?

If you don’t, then here’s the video.

A few days later, Blog Baladi wrote about Ward el Khal filing a lawsuit against the woman in question. Drama, drama. Literally.

It turned out the whole video is a prank, staged by LBC, who wanted to advertise their new TV station: LBC Drama.

While the prank sure got people talking, I have to say it’s a very cheap shot and I’d be worried if it actually represented the content of what LBC Drama will air.

The new station will go on air starting August 20th.

“The idea was that of brilliance, leading viewers to feel and live the moment and the drama,” Ward el Khal said regarding the video.

I guess some people have a low standard for what’s brilliant.

This is Ward el Khal letting you all know:

LBC are proud by how viral the video went. What I don’t get is how that will benefit them in whatever they were trying to do.

Emile Rahme Storms Out of Kalem El Nas Episode. Way To Go Marcel Ghanem!

Sometimes Marcel Ghanem just does good things, like tonight with him showing Baalbak MP Emile Rahme exactly what he needed. As a result, Emile Rahme decided to throw a tantrum and leave the show.

Of course, LBC wouldn’t let such an opportunity go to waste.

And here’s the YouTube video of it:

I believe the Lebanese thing to say in this case is “Allah ma3 dwelibak.” Unless they’re fried (which is probable).

This is what Marcel Ghanem had to say afterwards:

MP Samy Gemayel Supports the Metel Ma Shelta Campaign

Behold, Samy Gemayel has supported the Metel Ma Shelta anti-littering campaign, which I blogged about a few days ago:

Moreover, LBC News has also written about the campaign on their website.

I’m very glad the campaign is gaining traction. The number of likes for the Facebook page, as of the time of writing this post, has exceeded 1900. Here’s hoping the support of Samy Gemayel, and hopefully other MPs soon, results in the formulation of a much needed law to help keep our streets clean.

This campaign is shaping up to be quite big. Hopefully the circumstances help it assume its full potential.
